Why we exist
Food safety is a real concern in Bangladesh.
Food adulteration has been a long-standing public concern in Bangladesh. The Safe Food Act 2013 established the Bangladesh Food Safety Authority to regulate food safety across the supply chain.
Edible oil is used in almost every meal. We believe the simplest way to make it trustworthy is to make it with as few steps as possible, and to be open about each one.
We are based in Nazipur, Naogaon, a district known across Bangladesh for its rice and mangoes. We want to make everyday food from this region that families can trust.
Safura started with a simple question: why is it so hard to be sure what is in the oil you cook with every day? Our answer is to press it from whole seed, keep the steps few and show each one.

We believe the food your family eats every day should be simple and honest: nothing artificial added, nothing good taken away.

Each oil has one ingredient, the seed it is pressed from. We do not blend, colour, flavour or add preservatives.

We press without added heat or chemical solvents, and we do not refine, bleach or deodorise the oil.
Made where it grows
Safura is based in Nazipur, Naogaon, in the farming north of Bangladesh, among fields of mustard, rice and mangoes.
